I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. As the youngest in my family, I enjoyed making art not only to occupy my time but also to gain attention from others. In middle school I was fortunate enough to take an art class; I did rather well and that got an audition for a spot in a new magnet program for the arts called Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. My audition was on the last day; I was the last candidate to audition; I was selected to participate in the program. Earning the final spot in that program and the amazing exposure to the World of Fine Art it provided propelled me to achieve a Presidential Scholarship at Ringling School of the Arts…and those folks at Ringling aren’t clowning around [intended humor].
After graduating as a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), I started my professional career as a designer and sculptor with Feld Entertainment, who are the creators of Ringling Circus and Disney on Ice. This work not only satisfied my insatiable desire to create things for public view but it was also a fantastic foundation for success in the Arts & Entertainment Industry. Along the way I was also able to incorporate various leadership and management roles while still doing creative projects. To gain more knowledge, I would find ways to help others, which allowed me to learn more and become more valuable – overall – in the industry. Moving from project to project and mentor to mentor eventually lead me from the production floor to the office where I applied that same thirst to learn and took on many roles. At a certain point I landed in the role of project manager. This position fit well with my knowledge of art, my knowledge of production, and my knowledge of organized approaches.
While this is a condensed version of my “Then until Now” in the industry, please know that there is a lot of history behind me. There is also much more future ahead of me. My question to you is: How can I fit into and support your epic story? Let me know. (Click to Call Me)
TIDAL WAVE - This was a great way to finalize my college career with a piece of Public Art at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida. The premise of the piece was based on recycling and bringing awareness to how much waste we actually produce. Without recycling and proper disposal this would eventually become overwhelming, much like a tidal wave. The upside of this endeavor is we had to find a
SENIOR THESIS MUSEUM DIRECTOR - Such an honor to be elected the Director for our final exhibition, and it was also the start of this program for the students in the future. This meant that we needed a separate facility to host the event. This was a great process to go through at this age, learning a lot about how to look for and obtain rental property. Of course we had the guidance and required th
SENIOR YEARBOOK EDITOR - To be the yearbook editor among so many bright and creative people was truly an honor. I was on the staff the year before and it was pretty badly managed the output reflected their efforts. So when I was pushed to the leadership role I wanted to make the best yearbook ever. I hand selected my team of fellow creative nerds and we turned it up. This was before computer grap
