Professional Artist

Being a professional artist was an incredible journey. As a fine artist, I often struggled with the limitations of the gallery world. Early on, I worked on several large outdoor murals and was fortunate to have a public art piece featured in a major museum. That experience hooked me on public art—but as a career path, it offered limited opportunities.

After college, I was lucky enough to be hired as a sculptor for the Ringling Circus and Disney on Ice productions. It was the perfect blend—creating work that reached wide audiences and getting paid to do what I love. I hadn’t even considered this path before, but it felt exactly right.

I thrived in the team environment and loved being part of something bigger than myself. I learned from everyone around me—and, over time, I became the one teaching others. That momentum led me to work with amazing companies in new and growing roles. Eventually, it evolved into starting my own business, Artists at Work, where we traveled the country quite literally making the world a little more scenic.
